Testimony

a note from bec and isaac...

Notes. I love them. Taking notes to keep and chasing notes to sing. Writing instruments and musical instruments have been some of my best friends.

I can't remember a time in my life when I did not know the Lord Jesus Christ. My dad was the only pastor I ever knew until I left home for college. My mom was the heart of our home. She put the love of music inside of me for eternity. My baby sister kept me going and has always been my greatest cheerleader and encourager. My decision to accept Christ as my personal Lord and Savor came at age six. As a result of the nurturing and love of a Christian home, this was the next natural step in my development after learning to walk and talk and sing. As he put me under the waters of baptism, I heard my earthly father say in my ear, "I baptize you my little SISTER in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." I will never forget that day. Since that moment, as best I know how, I have sought to grow in the Lord day by day while being forever mindful that no matter how old I am, the Heavenly Father wants me to grow up as a Child.

In the area of marriage, I have not yet been shown God's Will for my life...or Bill...or Sam...or Joe. I am single and serving the Lord, confident that we are all single in the sight of God and individually responsible to Him for the use of our gifts in His service. The precious children in my life have belonged to other people who have been kind enough to share their children with me. They have been used to inspire several songs and to provide countless illustrations for the writings. Through their lives, the Lord has shown me the joy of unconditional love.

The Lord has placed in my heart a desire to teach his Word, the hope of eternity, and a desire to sing the songs He has given to me as He provides the opportunity. My prayers is that, in all that I do, I will draw others to the eternal Heavenly Father. In harmony with the Psalmist, I joyfully celebrate:

I will sing to the Lord all my life.
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Psalm 104:33
